Project Description:

80% of clinical physicians and otolaryngologists utilizing nasal speculums struggle to get adequate visibility into the nasal cavity. Our device is a redesign of the current nasal speculum for the clinical setting, featuring improvements such as an integrated light source, disposable arms, and a thumb slider opening mechanism. Our state-of-the-art fiber-optic cable design allows for improved visibility into the nasal cavity for the physician, which was the critical user need identified in our voice of customer research.
