H.26 Acupressure on the go
Problem Description
Acupuncture has more than 2000 history and is one of the modality in traditional Chinese medicine. Acupressure is a technique that utilize pressure instead of need to achieve the same effectiveness as us acupuncture. Acupressure can be delivered by hand or by electric currents. TENS and muscle stimulate has been used in the U.S. for relieve pain and increase muscle strength. However, the therapist has to be adjust the control unit while the electric is delivered via wires and connected to the user with electron. I suggest a sequence of innovation here:
1. Change the electron to something that can be remotely activated/controlled, or even programmed in the smart device such as smart phone. This technology can be but not limited to bluetooth connection on the electron. We will call this electron “phantom POLO (Position Of Location Origin)”. The origin suggests acupressure points.
2. The operating system (electric current delivery system) will have the ability to adjust the current pending on individual tolerance and time to be used. The operating system will also have more than one channels which will depend on how many pressure points will be used at one time. The electric current will be delivered via three modes: constant, synchronous, alternate.
3. (Optional) A fitting clothing will be designed for the different parts of the body where pre-set acupressure points will be marked with a small punch and “phantom POLO” electrons can be inserted into the pre-set points.
4. (Optional) The operating system can have a built-in diagram with the most safely acupressure points map for more advanced users.
