Improving cell extraction and cervical penetration efficiency for in-office endometrial biopsy procedures.

Project Description:

There is a significant unmet clinical need when it comes to the accurate diagnosis of Endometrial cancer, especially as it relates to the amount of cellular extraction in addition to the pain perceived by the patient. Thus, the EndoDetector aims to bridge both these clinical needs in one device. Specifically, it aims to improve cell collection by increasing the amount of suction points and also reduces pain with a pre-loaded numbing gel component. Both of these unique aspects within the device provide commercial value as they offer discrete ways to tackle current gaps in the gold standard for endometrial biopsy devices.
