HemoHeaters

An improved, portable, blood-warming solution for trauma settings.

The HemoHeater is a 6x10cm, pocket-sized blood warmer. The serpentine-shaped IV tubing made of polypropylene perfectly fits in between the two aluminum conductive heating plates, that are hinged together like a book.

Project Description:

Current portable blood warmers fail to meet the needs of trauma settings due to not being able to warm blood to normothermia, having a slow volumetric flow rate and a convoluted design.
