H.2 A premature baby ear protection device.

Problem Description

I work in a 39 bed surgical NICU at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Most of our babies are very sensitive to noise. There are many devices that produce harmful decibels in the NICU. We need a product to protect the premature baby from loud noises.

The baby has some noise protection inside of the isolette. Many times in a day we need to open the top on the isolette to preform a procedure. We do not have a device to slip over the baby’s ears to protect them from harmful decibel levels. I feel confident other NICU’s have the same problem.
